Watch

If your device has a paired Apple Watch, the Kitlist app is normally automatically installed.

The Apple Watch application allows you to view the list, categories and items. No changes can be made other than selecting or un-selecting items.

When viewing a list of items, deep-pressing the watch display allows you to choose whether selected (or marked) items are displayed or hidden in the list.

When you navigate away from and then back to the item list, selected items are hidden again.

Data is automatically synchronised between the iPhone and the watch as a background operation. Updates are performed in such a way as to avoid adversely impacting the battery life of the devices, consequently some updates may become delayed, especially when the Watch app is not running in the foreground.

To encourage a more immediate update, change the selection state of one of the items on the iPhone whilst the watch app is open in the foreground. The watch should be updated approximately 5 seconds after the last change made on the iPhone.

Resetting Data on the Apple Watch

After trying the above, should the watch data remain inconsistent with the data on the iPhone, the data on the watch can be forcibly overwritten with that from the iPhone.

Ideally, with the watch app running in the foreground, on the iPhone, navigate to Settings and click Reset data on watch. You will be prompted to confirm wiping the Kitlist watch app data. This action will entirely replace the data on the watch with that from the iPhone.
